Customer Discovery & Development Bootcamp: A Two-Day Intensive to Build Smarter Businesses

Program Overview

This immersive two-day bootcamp is designed for growth-focused business owners ready to build smarter, more profitable businesses by deeply understanding their customers. By combining the strategic rigor of Customer Development with the insight-gathering power of Customer Discovery, this program equips participants with the tools, frameworks, and real-world practices to systematically uncover customer needs and translate them into better products, services, and business models.

Participants will move beyond assumptions and “gut feelings” to apply evidence-based approaches to validating ideas, refining value propositions, and designing customer-centric experiences that fuel long-term growth.

What You'll Learn

Over two full days, participants will dive into a comprehensive journey that blends theory, practice, and hands-on exploration:

Day 1: Customer Development – Designing for Real Needs

Focus: Building the foundation of a customer-centered business.

On the first day, you’ll take a deep dive into Customer Development, a powerful framework for understanding your customers' needs and designing your business accordingly. You’ll work through the core elements of identifying your target market, understanding their behaviors and pain points, and crafting a customer acquisition strategy that meets them where they are.

Key activities and outcomes include:

  • Defining your ideal customer persona
  • Mapping the Customer Journey using the Customer Journey Canvas Model
  • Identifying and validating key assumptions about your customers
  • Designing a Customer Development Plan to iterate your business model
  • Developing a Customer Acquisition Plan tailored to your audience

Expect to walk away with clearly defined customer profiles, strategic insight into how your customers interact with your brand, and a plan for how to reach them effectively.

Day 2: Customer Discovery – Finding and Leveraging Data

Focus: Using data to identify, reach, and understand your customers.

The second day shifts from qualitative exploration to quantitative discovery, teaching you how to collect, interpret, and apply customer data to uncover new opportunities and validate your direction. You’ll learn how to harness data tools and techniques to guide decision-making and strengthen your customer understanding.

Key activities and outcomes include:

  • Understanding the principles of Customer Discovery through a data-driven lens
  • Designing and executing discovery surveys and data collection tools
  • Analyzing patterns in behavior, demographics, and preferences
  • Identifying market trends and customer demand through real data
  • Translating insights into testable actions for growth

By the end of the day, you’ll be able to back your decisions with measurable evidence and know where to find your best-fit customers using data.

Each session will include interactive workshops, peer feedback, and real-time application of tools, ensuring that participants leave with not just knowledge—but also actionable outputs for their business.
